Mailchimp hook up

Ampjar can sync your contacts with your Mailchimp database. Simply click the Mailchimp option in here, login and select the lists that you want to sync.

We keep everything live across both accounts and handle duplicates, unsubscribes and new subscribers without you needing to do anything.

Mailchimp export

We provide a way that you can connect your Ampjar account to Mailchimp without having to do an export of your database, click here, log in and select the lists that you want to sync.

If you’d prefer to export your Mailchimp you can follow these steps:

  1. Log into Mailchimp.
  2. Click the Lists tab.
  3. Click on the name of the list you want to export.
  4. Click Export List (this step can take a couple of minutes).
  5. Click on Manage subscribers > Subscriber exports.
  6. Click ‘Export as CSV’ to the right of the list you just exported.
  7. This will download to your default download location.
  8. Head here and upload the database which should be called something ending with .csv

Gmail export

If you keep your database in Gmail or don’t really have a database other than customers that you talk to through email, you can export your Gmail contacts*. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to Gmail.
  2. At the top left, click Mail > Contacts.
  3. Click More > Export...
  4. Choose whether to export all contacts or only one group.
  5. Select Google CSV format
  6. Click Export.
  7. You may now need to choose where to save the file, or it may automatically go to your downloads folder.
  8. Head here and upload the database which should be called something ending with .csv

*you should have permission from these guys to add them to a marketing database.
